VotexArch vs Veras: two ways to render from inside your CAD

Veras, from Chaos, is the best-known AI renderer that lives inside design software, which makes it the closest comparison to VotexArch. Both start from your model view and keep the geometry. The differences are in which applications they reach, how you try them, and what else sits beside the renderer.

Choose Veras if

  • You work in Vectorworks, Forma or Allplan — VotexArch has no plugin for them.
  • You already use Enscape, V-Ray or Corona and want AI in the same ecosystem.
  • You want the renderer running natively in the host rather than handing a view to a browser.

Choose VotexArch if

  • You model in Blender or 3ds Max — Veras does not list either.
  • You want to try it before creating an account, and pay monthly rather than annually.
  • You need more than a renderer: plan cutaways, sketches, construction videos, print prep or a code-compliance read.

Questions

Does VotexArch run inside Revit and SketchUp like Veras?
It has plugins for both, but they work differently. Veras renders inside the host. VotexArch’s plugins export the current view and open the matching tool in your browser, where the render happens — lighter to install, one step further from the model.
Which is cheaper?
It depends on volume and billing. Veras plans are billed annually; VotexArch plans are monthly, and each render costs credits according to the model you choose. Compare the credit cost of the models you would actually use on each side rather than the headline plan price.
