Ownership & data

The questions a practice asks before it signs anything

You are handling other people's buildings, budgets and confidential site plans. Here is who owns what, what happens to an upload, and who else is in the chain — each answer linked to the clause that governs it, so you can check rather than take our word for it.

Who owns what I upload?

You do.

You retain full ownership of any designs, prompts, inputs, or project files you create or upload. We take a limited licence to store, process and transmit that content solely to operate the service and execute your requests — nothing wider.

Intellectual Property Rights in the Terms

Who owns the renders I generate?

You do, with two caveats worth reading.

As between you and VotexArch, you own the outputs generated from your prompts and uploads. The two conditions on that: the underlying AI model providers set their own terms on generated output, and we reserve the right to use anonymized, aggregated generations for internal quality and platform improvement. Because outputs are AI-generated, no one can guarantee any given output is free of third-party rights or copyrightable in every jurisdiction.

AI Output Ownership & License

What happens to a confidential drawing after I upload it?

It is sent to an AI provider to be rendered, and deleted from our storage after 7 days.

Two separate things happen, and only one of them is ours to guarantee. On our side: every uploaded and generated file is deleted after 7 days by an expiry rule applied to every object automatically — not a policy someone has to remember to run — and you can delete any generation yourself or request deletion of your whole account. Files are served from long random web addresses that cannot be guessed or listed, and only appear in your own dashboard; they are not, however, behind a sign-in check, so anyone you send a link to can open it until it expires. On the other side: rendering does not happen on our hardware, so the file itself is transmitted to the AI provider running your chosen model, and what they retain is governed by their terms, not ours. If a drawing is under an NDA that forbids third-party processing, that is the fact to weigh — not our 7-day rule.

Data Deletion in the Privacy Policy

Where does the processing actually happen?

On third-party AI infrastructure, named openly.

We do not run the models on our own hardware. Generation runs on external providers — fal.ai and Google (Gemini) among them — which is why their terms apply to output alongside ours, and why availability depends partly on theirs. We would rather you know which companies are in the chain than discover it later.

What we do not claim

This page is a plain-language summary, not a replacement for the agreements themselves — where the two differ, the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy govern. We also cannot speak for the AI providers who run the models: their terms attach to generated output independently of ours, and we would encourage anyone with a strict client confidentiality obligation to read them alongside ours before uploading work that is under NDA.
