A walkthrough costs a week you do not have before a pitch
Animating in Revit means camera paths, keyframes and a render queue that ties up a machine overnight — which is why most pitches go out with stills. This starts from a single view, takes a description of the camera move, and returns a clip. It is not a substitute for a full animation on a scheme that warrants one; it is what makes a moving shot affordable on the ones that do not.

How the Revit plugin handles it
Choose the frame the move should start from
A walkthrough begins from one still, so pick the view you would have used as the hero image anyway. The composition of that frame is what the motion inherits.
Send it from the VotexArch ribbon tab
Same single button as a still render — the difference is which workspace tab you land on, not a different export.
Describe the camera move, not the scene
A slow dolly forward, an orbit around the facade, a rising crane shot. Clips bill per second, so a six-second establishing shot costs what a six-second shot should rather than what an overnight render does.
What Revit hands over
Revit gives this a cleaner starting frame than a photograph would, because the geometry is exact and the perspective is real rather than approximated. What it does not give is any sense of how the space is used — no people, no furniture scale cues beyond what is modelled — so a bare shell animates as a bare shell. Views with furniture families placed read markedly better in motion, where the eye has time to notice that a room is empty.
The thing that goes wrong
Asking for a long move on a frame with little depth is where these disappoint. A flat elevation-like view has nothing for the camera to travel past, so a five-second dolly reveals nothing and reads as drift. Pick a frame with foreground, middle ground and something beyond — the same instinct that makes a still worth looking at.
Do you preserve geometry?
Yes. Every render pass is constrained to your source geometry and camera position, so walls, proportions, and perspective stay locked instead of being reimagined by the model.
Models available for this
Every model draws from the same credit balance, and a credit is only spent on a successful generation.

Questions
- How long can a clip be?
- Short clips are what this is for, and they are billed per second, so cost scales with length rather than being a fixed overnight commitment. A short establishing shot is the intended use rather than a limitation being worked around.
- Can I animate a render I already made?
- Yes. Any finished still can be sent into the motion engine, including one produced here earlier from the same Revit view, so a pitch can reuse the image you already approved rather than starting again.
