Send an Archicad view into an AI render
A small window you keep open alongside Archicad. When a view is ready, it captures what Archicad has on screen, saves it where you choose, and opens VotexArch on the workspace tab you picked.
Captures the current Archicad view to a PNG you choose the location for, then opens VotexArch on your chosen tab.
A standalone Python window rather than a native add-on, and deliberately so. Archicad cannot run custom code from a menu button without compiling a full add-on against Graphisoft’s C++ API Development Kit — a separate SDK, plus Visual Studio and CMake. That is a heavy toolchain to ask for what is ultimately a two-step tool: save a file, open a browser.
Getting it installed
- 01
Install Python 3.10 or newer
Check with python --version. This is the only prerequisite beyond Archicad itself.
- 02
Install the requirements
From the unzipped folder, run: pip install -r requirements.txt
- 03
Run it alongside Archicad
Run python send_to_votexarch.py. A window titled "VotexArch for Archicad" opens — keep it open beside Archicad and use it whenever you want to send a view. There is no installer step.
Before you start
Newly released. This was built against Archicad’s documented behavior rather than tested against a live Archicad window, so treat your first run as the real test — if something misbehaves, send us the error and we will correct it.
No Archicad to hand?
Every tool works by uploading an image directly — the plugin only saves you the trip.
